Privacy policy

How we handle the information you share with us when using this site.

Who is responsible

R & R Legal, a law firm led by Ronald Ramírez, attorney and notary. Centro Comercial La Fuente, Local 5, south side of the Atenas Courthouse, Alajuela, Costa Rica. Email: rramirez@ronaldramirezlegal.com · Phone: +506 8866-8080.

What information we collect

This site has no user accounts and does not store on any server what you type in the form. The enquiry form only puts together a message with your name, your phone or email, the practice area and the description you enter, and opens WhatsApp so you can decide whether to send it. If you write to us on WhatsApp, by email or call us, we receive the information you share.

How we use it

To answer your enquiry, arrange an appointment and, if you hire us, provide the service. We do not sell your information or share it with third parties for commercial purposes. What you tell us about your case is protected by professional confidentiality.

Third-party services

Messages you send on WhatsApp go through that service, which has its own privacy policy. The site fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google when the page opens. Links to Facebook, Instagram and Google Maps lead to sites with their own policies. The hosting provider may log technical data about visits, such as the IP address, for security reasons.

Analytics and cookies

To know which pages are visited and how many enquiries reach us through the site, we use our own anonymous visit statistics with Umami, hosted on a server run by Rox Solutions, the company that maintains this site. They use no cookies, do not track people across sites, and we do not sell this data. You can block them with any ad or tracker blocker. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies: we only store in your browser whether you closed the language notice, so it is not shown again.

How long we keep it

Messages and documents from an enquiry are kept for as long as needed to handle it and to meet the firm's professional and legal obligations.

Your rights

Under Costa Rica's Law No. 8968 on the Protection of Individuals with regard to the Processing of their Personal Data, you may request access to, correction or deletion of your data by writing to rramirez@ronaldramirezlegal.com. You may also contact the Personal Data Protection Agency (PRODHAB).

Changes

If this policy changes, the version in force will be the one published on this page. Last updated: 27 October 2026.
