Ronald Ramírez Garita

With more than 30 years of experience, Ronald Ramírez has practised in both the institutional and the private sector, with an emphasis on Administrative, Notarial, Employment, Commercial and Financial Law. His career includes heading legal departments, advising public institutions and companies, formalising transactions as a notary and taking part in particularly complex legal projects.

He was Legal Director of the Development Banking System (Sistema de Banca para el Desarrollo) from 2011 to 2018, where he took part in institutional reform and in structuring legal and financial instruments. He also served as Legal Director of the Integrated Agricultural Marketing Programme (PIMA) from 1998 to 2003, as legal adviser to the Municipal Council of Grecia, and as attorney and notary associated with Bolcomer, the commodities exchange.

His experience also covers leading administrative proceedings, advising on public procurement and corporate governance, and structuring real estate and commercial contracts and transactions. He has taught Administrative Law and Employment Law, including at the University of Costa Rica.

Since 2018 he has led R & R Legal, where he provides legal advice and representation that combines institutional experience, professional judgement and direct attention to each client.
